Ciba Combines Weighing and Mixing

Weighing-in with a running stirrer on the balance has been unthinkable until now. About half a year ago, this laboratory rule was abolished by Ciba Specialty Chemicals. With METTLER TOLEDO’s new Magnet Protection Shield (MPS), it is now possible to protect the balance reliably from the stirrer or the magnetic rod so that the substance to be weighed in can be directly added to the solution while mixing. Particularly the weighing-in of liquids, which had to be inconveniently added in a differential weighing process, is much easier now thanks to METTLER TOLDEO.
